Concept | Stars & Astrology
Stars are often used to represent guidance, and even before GPS people looked to the night sky and followed the stars. Astrology is believed to have originated in ancient Mesopotamia, particularly in Babylon, around 2000 BCE. They created the earliest known zodiac, dividing the sky into 12 sections. In the 20th century Newspaper horoscopes popularized simplified “sun sign” astrology.
Why use an isometric grid?
An isometric grid is a type of geometric grid used for creating three-dimensional objects on a two-dimensional plane. When we look above at the sky all we see are dots but what we cant see is that each dot is placed at a different axis in the sky. If you were to connect them, you would end up with 3D shapes since every star is either closer or further from our point of view.
“Creativity is just connecting things.” -Steve Jobs
The quote by Steve Jobs speaks about creativity as the ability to connect different experiences and ideas to create something new and innovative.
The isometric grid system is a tool that helps designers see patterns and connections. Without the grid, you can experience a 3D shape on a 2D point of view.
